MSI Raider 18 Max HX A2WI-1257IN 18″ Ultra 9 290HX Plus 32GB 2TB RTX 5080 UHD+ Mini LED Gaming Laptop
The MSI Raider 18 Max HX (A2WI-1257IN) is MSI’s top 18-inch chassis with an RTX 5080 inside. It runs the Intel® Core™ Ultra 9 290HX Plus with an NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 5080 Laptop GPU and 16 GB of GDDR7. It shares its screen, ports and build with the RTX 5090 version (A2WJ-1068IN). The GPU alone gets up to 175 W, and MSI OverBoost pushes the CPU and GPU to 260 W combined.
The 18-inch screen is UHD+ (3840 × 2400) with a Mini LED backlight, 120 Hz, 100% DCI-P3 and VESA DisplayHDR 1000, so it suits 4K editing as much as gaming. Memory is 32 GB of DDR5 (2 × 16 GB, up to 128 GB supported), and storage is a 2 TB PCIe Gen5 SSD with a second M.2 slot free.
Ports are generous: two Thunderbolt 5, three USB-A, HDMI 2.1, an SD Express reader and 2.5G LAN, plus Killer Wi-Fi 7. You also get a per-key RGB SteelSeries keyboard, a 1080p IR webcam with shutter, a fingerprint reader and Dynaudio speakers with two woofers. It weighs 3.6 kg with a 99 Wh battery and a 400 W charger. An MSI bag comes in the box.
MSI gives a 2-year on-site warranty on this model (on-site service in selected regions). It covers manufacturing defects, not physical, burn or liquid damage. Register the serial number at register.msi.com soon after purchase, because the warranty depends on it. You can see it running and pick it up at our Koramangala store, open Mon–Sun 10:30 AM to 9 PM.
