Which Lenovo tablet should you buy?
Choose a Lenovo tablet by screen size and what you’ll do most on it. For video, reading and online classes, the Tab K10 Gen 2 or Tab K11 Gen 2 is enough. Students who take notes with a pen should pick the Idea Tab Pro, and anyone who wants the fastest chip and best speakers should pick the Yoga Tab Plus.
| You use it for | Go for | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Reading, carrying everywhere | Tab K9 | 8.7-inch screen, around 320 g |
| Online classes, kids, video | Tab K10 Gen 2 | 10.1-inch WUXGA screen, Kids Space app |
| Streaming, everyday use | Tab K11 Gen 2 | 2.5K 90Hz screen, 4 Dolby Atmos speakers |
| Internet without Wi-Fi | Tab K11 Gen 2 5G or Tab M10 5G | 5G SIM slot |

| Work, editing, best sound | Yoga Tab Plus | Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, 16GB, 6 speakers |
Screens, speakers and battery on Lenovo tablets
Lenovo’s PSREF spec sheets show big differences between the series. The Yoga Tab Plus and Idea Tab Pro both use a 10200mAh battery rated for 11 hours of YouTube streaming, the Tab K11 Gen 2 uses 7040mAh rated for 12 hours, and the Tab K9 is rated for 12.5 hours from its 5100mAh battery.

Wi-Fi or SIM model?
A Wi-Fi Lenovo tablet connects through your home Wi-Fi or a phone hotspot, while a SIM model takes a nano-SIM and works on mobile data anywhere. We stock 4G LTE versions of the Tab K10 Gen 2 and Tab K9, and 5G versions of the Tab K11 Gen 2 and Tab M10 5G. The Idea Tab Pro and Yoga Tab Plus are Wi-Fi only.
Good to know before you buy
A few Lenovo tablet details are easy to miss on a spec sheet, so check these points against the product page before you order.
- Memory is fixed. Every Lenovo tablet has soldered memory that can’t be upgraded, so choose the RAM you need at purchase.
- Storage can grow on most models. The Idea Tab Pro, Tab K11 Gen 2, Tab K10 Gen 2, Tab K9 and Tab M10 5G have a microSD slot. The Yoga Tab Plus has no card reader.
- Pen and keyboard are separate. The Yoga Tab Plus, Idea Tab Pro, Tab K11 Gen 2 and Tab M10 5G support a Lenovo pen, and the first three take a pogo-pin keyboard. Ask us which accessories we have in stock.
- Headphone jack on the K series. The Tab K9, K10 Gen 2, K11 Gen 2 and M10 5G have a 3.5mm jack. The Idea Tab Pro and Yoga Tab Plus use USB-C audio.
