Good to know before you buy
- Read the last digit for colour.On HP colour sets, part numbers ending 0A are black, 1A cyan, 2A yellow and 3A magenta. W2221A is 222A cyan.
- Some printers have a separate drum.The HP Laser 303 and MFP 323 use 181A toner plus a 181A imaging drum (W1816A), per our printer listings.
- Yield depends on what you print.HP’s page counts are for standard text pages. Pages with photos or heavy graphics use more toner.
- HP Dynamic Security.Many HP laser printers check for Original HP cartridges. HP says it guards against cartridges with non-HP chips.

How do I find which toner my HP printer uses?
Check the number printed on the old cartridge, such as 88A or 166A. HP also shows it on the printer screen under supplies, in the HP Smart app, and on the label inside the cartridge door. Or WhatsApp us the printer model.
What is the difference between an A and an X toner?
X marks the high yield version, which prints more pages than the A toner for the same printer. On this page the HP 335X is high yield, at about 13,700 pages.
Are these Original HP toner cartridges?

How many pages will an HP toner print?
It depends on the toner. Per our product data, the HP 166A prints about 1,500 pages, the 77A about 3,100 and the 81A about 10,500. Heavy graphics bring that down.
Do I need to change all four colours at once?
No. HP colour toners are sold one colour at a time, so you replace only the colour that has run out.
