If you’ve been searching for an HP Pavilion and keep landing on “OmniBook”, you’re not imagining it. HP has moved its consumer laptops to the OmniBook name. Most of what used to be Pavilion now sits in the OmniBook 5 range, entry HP 14 and 15 models became OmniBook 3, with OmniBook 7, OmniBook X and OmniBook Ultra above them.

Manufacturer warranty and documents

Every HP laptop we sell is brand-sealed with HP India’s manufacturer warranty. Laptops come with 1 to 3 years depending on the model. You get a GST invoice with the serial number on it, which is what HP asks for at any service centre in India.

You can check warranty status yourself by entering the serial number on HP’s India warranty check. We can also add extended warranty and HP Accidental Damage Protection (ADP) when you buy, and we handle the registration paperwork.

After-sales support and service

This is where buying from a local store helps. Laptops bought from us get free lifetime walk-in support at the Koramangala store. Software trouble, a charger issue or a slow laptop, bring it in.

Checking stock before you visit

Walk-in customers buy from the same stock as online orders, so the shelf and the website can differ by a day. Send us the model or your budget on WhatsApp and we’ll confirm what’s in the store and keep it aside.

Prices, value and offers

HP changes prices and bank offers often, so we quote today’s price on call or WhatsApp rather than printing one here. A few tips when you compare:

• OmniBook 5 is the sweet spot for most buyers. Step up to OmniBook 7 or X only if you carry it daily and want a lighter, better-built machine.
• Buy 16GB RAM. On many newer OmniBooks the memory is soldered and can’t be upgraded.
• Gaming? OmniBook isn’t built for it. Look at HP Victus or our gaming laptops instead.

How to check your HP laptop is genuine and sealed

• Sealed box, opened in front of you.
• Serial number on the laptop matches the box and the invoice.
• Warranty check on HP’s site shows an Indian warranty starting around your purchase date.
• Windows is already activated.
