Who should buy the SCAR 18?
Buy it if the laptop will mostly sit on a desk and you want the most performance you can get without building a PC. Streamers, 3D artists and people who play AAA games at 4K get the most from it. If you carry your laptop every day, it’s a lot to lug around. Compare all our ROG Strix laptops or the Strix G18, which also has an 18-inch screen.
Good to know
- Office Home 2024 comes with all three models, with Windows 11 Home.
- Screen refresh. It runs at 120Hz in Standard, Eco and Optimized modes to save power. Switch to Ultimate in Armoury Crate for 240Hz.
- Carry the charger. At full power it needs the 450W adapter. A spare? See ASUS adapters.
